Music Makes a Difference.

Hi, I’m Ella, and music is my passion. Let me help you learn piano and grow your passion too.

What I do:

Teaching

I have over ten years experience teaching piano to all ages and abilities, from beginners through to Grade 8 RIAM. Some of my beginner students are young and just starting on their musical journey. Others are adults who have always wanted to play the piano but are only just getting around to it now. Some adults are reawakening their passion for piano, and may not have played since their feet were swinging on the piano stool as a child. Many students are learning the piano just for fun, while others are progressing through the grades. Some students come to me for help with their school exams, such as the Junior or Leaving Certificate Practical Exams. I tailor my lessons to each student. Everyone is unique and learns differently, and I love finding new ways to help every student learn and reach their full potential.

Music Therapy

I am a fully qualified Music Therapist with an MA in Music Therapy from the University of Limerick. I am hoping to commence my Music Therapy business in the near future.

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music experiences within a therapeutic relationship of client and therapist to support physical, emotional, communication, social, behavioural, and sensory wellbeing for the client.

Music therapy promotes personal development and encourages the client to reach their full potential. Each Music Therapy programme is developed with the specific needs of the client in mind and regards each client as unique.

It typically involves listening to music, singing, playing musical instruments, or song-writing.

My Teaching Experience

  • Ten years private teaching

I’ve been teaching privately for the past 10 years. In my first year I had over 40 private students.

  • Four years experience teaching in a music academy

I also teach in a music school. I love the atmosphere and family feel of the school, and how helpful the director and fellow teachers are.

  • I teach all ages and levels of ability

I teach all ages, from children as young as 5 up to adults in their 90s. I love working with different levels of ability, from beginners to Grade 8 students, to students who just want to learn piano for fun.
